This week we have been creating and describing characters/ settings for our own fairy tales. The children have used some fantastic describing words and phrases making their characters come to life. In maths, we have been learning how to do long multiplication, later in the week we used this new learnt skill to answer word problems. In science we learnt all about gases and how they are used in every day life, we watched how the gas from a coke bottle filled up a balloon! In RE, we learnt about the different items within a Gurdwara which is the place of worship in Sikhism. The children are finding it really interesting and enjoyable to learn and understand different religions. Our class novel for this term is Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone we are now on chapter 5 and the children have been discussing how Harry feels about finding out he is wizard! We look forward to reading the rest of the story throughout this term.
