This week we have been working really hard on our times table practice as a class. The children completed times table grids in the mornings and we were working on our speed as well as accuracy. I introduced them to a new times table game which they all really enjoyed and we will continue to play these games to make learning times tables more fun and interactive. In English, we have been looking at different rhyme schemes within poems and the children really enjoyed finding different words that rhyme, as well as creating their own rhymes. The children finished the week by creating their own monster character who they will base their narrative poems on next week. In RE we were talking about how we can be ‘fishers of people’ and spread the news of Jesus and Christianity to others, the children thought of some fantastic ideas including inviting friends to events at the local church such as forest church.

Thank you for a great week Class 2.
