- Curriculum Approach
This includes our Curriculum Intent – an over-arching view of our Curriculum at Pytchley. It should be read alongside our Early Years Foundation Stage Statement and our Teaching and Learning Statement. You will also find our Maths Intent, our EYFS Maths Intent, our whole school Reading Intent and our whole school Writing Intent.
- Long Term Plans
This includes the Long Term Plans (LTPs) for each class. For 2023-2024 we are in Cycle B of a two year rolling programme.
All other LTPs for each subject are found here too – Art, Computing, DT, RE, PE, Science, Geography, History, Music alongside English and Maths.
We are using the following schemes - PE - Complete PE
Music - Kapow
PSHE - Jigsaw
Computing - Kapow
mfL (French) - Kapow
- Calculation Policies
These provide an overview of our teaching of addition, subtraction, division and multiplication, and show how we teach these functions from EYFS to Y6.
As a Church school, learning more about our own faith whilst discovering things about other faiths is very important to us. As a school, we base our PSHE & RSE curriculum around the materials published by 'Jigsaw'. We believe that PSHE is a key contributor to the safeguarding, personal development and well-being, and British Values agendas.
Should you require any additional information about our Curriculum, please contact the school.
