At Pytchley Primary School, our Science curriculum is taught over a 2-year cycle. For 2022-2023, we are teaching Cycle A.

Science is taught weekly and linked to a unit of work from the 2014 National Curriculum. Through these units, children have opportunities to become scientists; asking their own questions and carrying out their own scientific enquiries.

Our science coverage is broken down into procedural knowledge and declarative knowledge; we have also highlighted the coverage of biology units, chemistry units and physics units.
