Wrap Around Care
Working parents are being given a helping hand juggling the work life balance at Pytchley Primary School. Pupils can start the day on a full stomach by attending the school’s breakfast club from 7:40am – 8:40am and later attend an after school club which vary each half term these range from homework club, cooking club, dance, football, film club until 4:30pm or opt for school childcare on offer from 3:30pm to 6:00pm five days a week.
School bursar, Helen Osborne, said: “Our ‘Wrap Around Care’ runs Monday to Friday from 3:30pm – 6:00pm in addition to the normal activity clubs we have on offer.
“Children will have planned activities during the session with a hot or cold snack around 5:00pm. We are able to offer some ad-hoc places if needed.”
A parent whose two children attend wrap around care and breakfast club a couple of times a week, has been able to return to work as a PR account manager.
She said: "The set up at Pytchley is fantastic and good value. I can go off to work in the morning knowing my children will start the day on a full stomach and be well looked after until I return to pick them up after work. They love attending wrap around and if they're happy I'm happy."
