At Pytchley Primary School, we teach the National Curriculum for Year 1-6 and in Reception, we teach the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
We use topics and themes as the basis for our teaching in order to ensure breadth and depth and to ensure that the children’s learning experiences are linked and purposeful. This also links in with our school values and ethos and strong Christian values. Our curriculum intent highlights this.
In addition to this, our curriculum reflects the needs of the local community.
As we have mixed year group classes at the school, we plan for two cycles. For the year 2019-2020, we are teaching Cycle A.
